About Shunde
Shunde, in Guangdong Province, China, is located in the hinterland of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Pearl River Delta. It has a total area of 806 square kilometers and forms a one-hour golden economic circle with international cities such as Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. There is a long history of openness and cooperation, and it was one of the largest silk producing areas in ancient China and an important source of the "Maritime Silk Road".
Design industry development of Shunde
The rich accumulation of creative culture and mature manufacturing foundation enabled Shunde to nurture a modern industrial design service industry ecology earlier. As early as the last century, Midea Industrial Design Department, the first design office opened by a privately-owned household appliance company in China, was born here. In 2009, Guangdong Industrial Design City was built in Shunde also, it became the theme park with the largest number of independent design companies in China.At present, Shunde has gathered 503 industrial design companies, 1,000 + other design companies, and more than 2,000 manufacturing companies have set up product design departments. It has been rated as "National Industrial Design and Creative Industry Hub" by the National Intellectual Property Administration. Design has become the innovative gene of this manufacturing city.

Shunde is located in the center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and is close to 5 airports: Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (over 230 routes, including more than 90 international routes), Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (over 190 routes, including 50 international routes), Hong Kong International Airport (more than 220 international routes), Macau International Airport (58 international routes), and Zhuhai Jinwan Airport (120 routes). It takes 1-2 hours from Shunde to the above five major airports.

Guangdong Province implements the "Several Policy Opinions of Guangdong Province on Accelerating the Development of Cultural Industry". Foshan People's Government issued the [ Guiding Opinions of Foshan People's Government on Accelerating the Development of Industrial Design ] in 2019, and Shunde People's Government of Foshan issued the [“Design of Shunde” Three-Year Action Plan (2018-2020) ] in 2018.
